Tricon cupola infeeds are built with the strength, through hardness, wear resistance, and toughness of Tri-Braze and overlayed with Prime-Arc 300 to stand up to large, heavy scrap feeding into the cupola furnace.
Tricon sand muller paddles and screens are made from Tri-Braze. This long-lasting material withstands the heavy abrasion of the sand mulling process, so you can spend more time in production and less time worrying about unexpected maintenance.
Used in heavy-duty metal and recycling applications, Tricon grizzly bars are made from Tri-Braze abrasion-resistant steel, making them crack-resistant and long-lasting in heavy impact and abrasion. Additionally, you can repair existing grizzly bars with our Wear-Arc 300 or 400 weld consumables.
Tri-Braze abrasion-resistant steel is used to produce the liners needed to extend the life of charge decks and conveyors for castings. Moving heavy castings requires the strength, through hardness, and long life of Tri-Braze steel to keep your foundry running.
Repairing worn areas in your foundry equipment is easy and cost effective with Tricon patch plates and wear plates made from Tri-Braze and Super-C CCO plate. Extend the life of your equipment and save on cost with patch plates instead of replacing entire liners or equipment.
In a real-world application, our customer tried several options for a trouble spot in their foundry sand transport system. Our engineers tackled the problem and developed the Ultra Tech 600 XLE Extended Life Elbow.
The XLE Line of elbows are heavy walled and cast from steel with high manganese content. The impact from pneumatic applications actually hardens the ID of the elbow over time!
In a real-world application, the 4″ XLE transported over 4 million pounds of sand and lasted for a full year. When inspected, that elbow still had half of its wall thickness intact.
Our welding consumables extend service life and reduce costly downtime in your foundry. Tricon offers Prime Arc joining electrodes and wires, hardfacing wire consumables, and build-up consumables.
