BARK HANDLING

FEED CHUTES AND LINERS

Tricon feed chutes and liners are lined with Tri-Braze, the industry’s best- performing and largest-selling, specialty abrasion-resistant steel. Our feed chutes and liners stand up to the wear and tear of thousands of bark tons moving through the system.

BARK SHREDDER HAMMERS AND ROTORS

Tricon bark shredder hammers and rotors size bark for maximum burn efficiency and separate bark from sand to extend the life of your boiler. Made with Tri-Braze, our bark shredder hammers and rotors have the through hardness and toughness to resist the wear from constant rotating and chipping of bark.

BARK SCREENS

Tricon bark screens are made from Tri-Braze abrasion-resistant steel to prevent wear and provide consistent bark sizing for maximum burn efficiency. Bark screens made without through hardened steel wear quickly, allowing larger bark material to pass through the screen. Inconsistent bark sizing makes for an inefficient and costly fuel source for powering your plant.

SURGE BINS & LINERS

The integrity of your surge bins drives material efficiency and safety by keeping material in the process and off the plant floor. Using Tri-Braze steel in your surge bins and liners extends their lifespan and ensures that your bark makes it to the boiler instead of your maintenance crew’s shovels.

BOILER FEED & LIVE BOTTOM SCREWS

Tricon boiler feed and live bottom screws are custom made from Tri-Braze or Super-C with the toughness and wear resistance to withstand heavy bark weight and the hardness to move bark from the surge bin to the boiler. The longer-lasting properties of these mission-critical live bottom screws help keep the boiler fueled, avoiding a costly shutdown of the mill.

JOINING, HARDFACING, & BUILD-UP WIRE

Tricon Prime Arc welding consumables are of the highest quality in the industry, extending service life and reducing costly downtime. Our joining electrodes and wires are made for field welding and can join high-strength, abrasion-resistant steel, manganese steel, and dissimilar metals. Secondly, our full line of hardfacing wire consumables handle bark and other demanding applications. These wires are made from chromium carbide, complex carbide, tungsten carbide, manganese, Martensitic and tool steel. Finally, Tricon build-up consumables are used for repairing and resurfacing expensive, worn parts, often exceeding OEM specifications for service life
