SLASHER DECKS
Tricon slasher decks are made with Tri-Braze abrasion-resistant steel to handle
heavy logs during the reducing process. Tough and long-lasting, our slasher decks

CHIPPER HEAD CHUTE
Chipper head chutes made from Tri-Braze are long-lasting and can stand up to the
abrasive wood handling process. Tri-Braze leads the industry due to its remarkable
combination of strength, through hardness, wear resistance, toughness, and
weldability, which outlasts typical AR plates by 3 to 4 times.
LOG DECKS
Tricon log decks are built with the strength, through hardness, wear resistance, and
toughness needed to convey heavy logs in wood handling. Log decks are made with
Tri-Braze plate, which has been the industry’s best-performing and largest-selling
specialty abrasion-resistant steel for 50 years.
JOINING, HARDFACING, & BUILD-UP WIRE
Tricon Prime Arc welding consumables are of the highest quality in the industry,
extending service life and reducing costly downtime. Our joining electrodes and
wires are made for field welding and can join high-strength, abrasion-resistant
steel, manganese steel, and dissimilar metals. Secondly, our full line of hardfacing
wire consumables handle bark and other demanding applications. These wires are
made from chromium carbide, complex carbide, tungsten carbide, manganese,
Martensitic and tool steel. Finally, Tricon build-up consumables are used for
repairing and resurfacing expensive, worn parts, often exceeding OEM
specifications for service life
