PRIME-ARC 85™ JOINING WIRES AND ELECTRODES

JOIN, REBUILD, OR CUSHION HIGH-STRENGTH AND CORROSION-RESISTANT METALS

Prime-Arc 85 JW (joining wire) and Prime-Arc 85 JE (joining electrode) are designed to deposit a modified austenitic stainless steel recommended for joining, rebuilding, or cushion overlaying on applications involving high-strength and heat-corrosion resistance. It is also frequently used in dissimilar metal applications to join carbon steels and high-strength alloy steels to stainless steels. Prime-Arc 85 has excellent welder appeal with a smooth spray arc and self-peeling slag.

WHY CHOOSE PRIME-ARC 85™

Joins any ferrous metal to any other ferrous metal

Very high tensile strength and work hardens in service to 450 BHN

A modified 312 stainless steel chemistry provides a low ferrite number weldment, excellent for both high heat and low temperature service

Will not respond to heat treatment

Tensile strength exceeds 130 KSI with elongation of up to 35%

stainless steel and dissimilar metals

Corrosion-resistant

No spatter of fumes
