HOW ULTRA TECH 600 INDUCTION-HARDENED TECHNOLOGY WORKS

Ultra Tech 600 proprietary induction-hardened technology was developed at our in-house metallurgical lab to create wear- and abrasion-resistant pipes. Our unique technology alters the microstructure of the steel, resulting in pipe with outer wall hardness that is ductile enough to accommodate high-pressure service and welding stresses. The inner wall resists abrasive slurries and the toughest conveyance materials. The outer wall has a hardness ductile enough to accommodate high-pressure service and welding stresses.

Steel pipe is rolled and formed using our proprietary steel chemistry.

Pipe is heated to a specific temperature using our induction-heating process.

Inner pipe is water quenched, creating superior abrasion resistance. The outer surface cools more slowly, increasing ductility and tensile strength.
